Learning to be good at something is more important than being good at it.

 -Duey Evans

I'm Duey Evans and this is the world as I see it.

For over 30 years, I've been asking the question that earned me the nickname "Doubting Duey": Is there a better way to do this?

That contrarian streak has served families well. While the tennis world clings to dated methods and cookie-cutter approaches, I've spent three decades developing individualized systems that actually work—backed by Ivy League players, NCAA champions, and a nationally awarded tennis center.

But here's what matters more than those credentials: I understand what high-stakes junior tennis does to families.

I've seen parents repeat the same patterns they experienced as kids—the dad who was pushed too hard now pushing harder, the mom who felt unsupported becoming the helicopter parent. I've watched families invest $25,000 annually while struggling with decisions that affect not just tennis rankings, but family relationships.

A heart attack in 2020—a 100% arterial blockage that should have killed me—forced me to examine not just my health, but my patterns. The same analytical mind that made me a better coach had sometimes kept me in "consultant mode" when families needed genuine connection.

The same resilience that got me through that crisis, and helped me increase revenue 51 out of 52 months at a public tennis facility, now drives a different kind of coaching.

I don't just develop tennis players. I help families navigate the complex journey of elite junior tennis without losing themselves in the process. Whether you're deciding between academies, questioning your current path, or trying to support a young athlete without becoming the parent you swore you'd never be—I get it.

My work now extends beyond tennis to anyone facing high-pressure performance decisions. Because the skills that help a family navigate junior tennis—strategic thinking, emotional resilience, and clear communication—are the same ones that serve business leaders, athletes, and anyone else looking to level up without burning out.

Through online courses and 1:1 coaching, I'm here to take you from where you are to where you want to be. But more importantly, I'm here to help you get there in a way that honors both your ambitions and your relationships.

After all, there's always a better way to do this—even when "this" is the thing you care about most.
