One Thing to Track Changes the Conversation

May 22, 2026

Before the first match this weekend, give your child one specific thing to track across multiple points. Not a correction. Not a result goal. One observable thread.

Where the serve is landing under pressure. How quickly they recover after the return. What happens to movement patterns at 30-all.

One thing.

Then after the match, ask about that one thing before anything else. Not because it will immediately solve the pattern, but because attention begins accumulating differently when both of you are returning to something named in advance rather than trying to reconstruct the entire match afterward.
